The MIV30-3-V3 is a new generational industrial servo drive manufactured by Okuma to accurately control electrical motors used in industrial systems. This servo drive is manufactured by highly trained engineers; it can feature a durable housing unit that allows it to withstand the interference of large solid materials with the operation of the servo drive. The housing of this industrial servo drive is inscribed with special warning safety signs and symbols designed to warn industrial operators of specific parts of the controller capable of causing damage if mishandled. The servo drive also contains special light-emitting diodes, which the operator can use to monitor the operational status of the servo drive in real-time.
The MIV30-3-V3 servo drive is a highly flexible device; it can be configured to meet the operational requirements of a wide range of industrial machines. The controller contains an internal battery that operates as an alternative source of electrical energy; it also features a control board made up of a display unit and special pressure-sensitive keys. The servo drive also contains an air blower and a heatsink which operates to keep the internal temperature of the drive within a permissible range via natural convection. Although this controller is generally considered to be safe for industrial applications, the operation of the controller with the wrong accessories and configuration parameters can cause the controller to initiate dangerous movement of the motor in the servo system.
The permissible temperature range at which this industrial motor can be operated falls between 0 to about 40 degrees Celsius. Also, the maximum height at which the controller can be installed is about 1000 meters above sea level.
