Product Description
Okuma is a Japan-based designer and manufacturer of a wide range of drive, motion control, and factory automation products used by many in the international drive space. These include CNC controls, lathes, and machining centers. It is also the manufacturer of the inverter units of the MIV series, which are built to control the BL or PREX series of servo motors. There are two types of these inverter units - the one-axis specification inverters and the two-axis specification inverters.
The MIV0103-1-B1 is an inverter unit model by Okuma. It is one of the inverter units in the MIV series designed for servo axes uses with DC power supply units also manufactured by Okuma. Together, both components form the Okuma Motion Control System (MCS). The primary function of this MIV inverter model is to drive spindle motors and axis drive motors. It features an inbuilt control board of the ICB1 type and syncs with other parts of the motion control system through the converter link, servo link, and encoder link. The connected DC power supply unit in the system where this inverter is used supplies 300V DC and 24V DC control power.
The control ROM type of the MIV0103-1-B1 is indicated as Type 1. Thanks to a 7-segment LED located in front of it, the operating status of the unit can easily be observed. To enhance its diagnostic function, there are two display modes that are provided. These are the normal operation status display mode and the alarm status display mode. In the alarm status display mode, an error number is displayed in the case of a fault or error to be discovered and fixed.
