Product Description
Okuma is a manufacturer of industrial automation products and drive control accessories that can be used for a wide range of motion control applications.
The E4809-045-148-C OPUS 7000 is a DRAM memory card used with the OSP 5000/5020. The DRAM memory card is used in systems that are used for motion control tasks in the CNC lathes, machining centers, and other similar systems. The OSP 5000 series is considered among the advanced motion control platforms that are provided with an integrated graphics function. The OSP 5000 series consists of a machine operation panel, a pendant operation panel, and an NC operation panel. With the assistance of the DRAM memory card, the cutting feed rate of the machines can be drastically increased. The RAM is used to store the software which is downloaded from the bubble memory once a machine has been turned on.
The active program can then be run using the E4809-045-148-C OPUS 7000 DRAM card on the main card (MC) 11 and 12. These main cards can be mounted on the main control board. The main cards 11 and 12 have been designed to handle a memory of 512 KB and 2 MB respectively. The bubble memory used in the OSP 5000 series functions in conjunction with the DRAM. The bubble memory can be used to store part programs, machine parameters, and control software. The bubble memory cards are available in 4 Mbits, 8 Mbits, 12 Mbits, and 16 Mbits configurations. The mainboard used in the OSP 5000 can be used to mount to up to two bubble memory cards that come with a maximum bubble memory capacity of 32 Mbits.
