Product Description
Okuma is a manufacturer of industrial drive control systems and accessories for industrial motion control applications.
The E4809-045-138 1911-1516-56-014 is the main card that is manufactured by the company for use in the OSP 5000/5020 series. This model is manufactured for enabling the OSP 5000 series to improve its motion control capabilities. The OSP 5000 system has been in production for many years and has seen many improvements since its launch in 1981. The system is used with CNC machine tools, CNC lathe machines, and machining centers. This model has been designed for increasing the speed and accuracy of motion control tasks. Due to the incorporation of better subsystems, the OSP 5000 has its feed cutting rate drastically improved. The system features highly precise digital servo technology and 32-bit double architecture engine.
The E4809-045-138 1911-1516-56-014 is a Sub CPU main card that is standard equipment in the OSP 5020M controls. With the help of this main card, it is possible to perform multi-axis contouring functions for the machining centers. In addition to the E4809-045-138, the system also has the main card A911-1526 which is provided as an optional card in the OSP 5020M controls only. The card is provided with a 32-bit double engine architecture and comes with the M68020 microprocessor and a math co-processor that is used for high accuracy/high speed machining centers that are the two ‘engines’ on the main card. The main card A911-1521 comes with the RS-232 interface and is mounted on the mainboard. With the help of the main card, different types of PCs, printers, punchers, and tape readers can be connected with the system.
