The E4809-045-109-C axis control board is an important drive controller component manufactured by Okuma. This axis board is unlike conventional industrial control device as it helps to serve as an interface through which important electrical connection is made. The E4809-045-109-C axis board is manufactured according to the IP00 protection class; however, it is completely protected from external interference as it requires integration into the housing of the control device before it can be operated. This axis board is designed specifically for the OPUS 5000 II main units; although it features a simple modular design, the integration of the axis unit into the main unit should be carried out by well-trained engineers who are familiar with Rexroth Indramat products. Under normal operating conditions, this axis unit can operate at a top level for more than five years without breaking down or requiring any major repair operation.

The E4809-045-109-C axis board does not generate a high amount of heat during operation; however, it is still important to ensure the circuit board is integrated into a position that exposes it to cool air and prevents the rapid build-up of heat around its housing unit. The E4809-045-109-C industrial axis unit should also be regularly maintained to prevent the accumulation of dust and other foreign materials that can interface with the smooth operation of the electrical components present on this axis board.  

The maximum ambient temperature at which the axis board can be operated is about 50 degrees Celsius; operating the axis board above this temperature can cause a rapid build-up of heat which can in-turn lead to a significant reduction in the operational efficiency of the circuit board.
