Product Description
Okuma is a manufacturer of industrial drive control systems and motion control accessories.
The E4809-045-039-D OPUS 5000 Axis Board is used in the OSP 5000 control system that is manufactured by the company. The axis board is one of the many control boards that are used in the OSP 5000 automation systems. The OSP 5000 system is known for better handling of CNC machining centers and lathe machines. The system is used to control multiple axes through the SVP board and additional axis cards can be mounted on the OSP 5000 systems. It is possible to control up to 10 axes by controlling the OSP 5020 CNC unit. The ability to control multiple axes makes the OSP 5000/5020 systems highly useful platforms for motion control tasks. A single additional axis card can be installed in the SVP board which is installed with a sensor, a position encoder, and one axis control.
The SVP board has many functionalities and its primary role is the control of brushless servo motors. The speed and position of the axis are determined by the SVP board for the E4809-045-039-D OUS 5000 axis card is available. The SVP board is also designed for controlling one pulse generator, one pulse handle, and six different sensors. The actual axis position data coming from the absolute encoders are used to control the position through the SVP board. The position encoder is installed on the axis servo motors produced by the company. The OSP 5000 systems due to their integrated graphics are considered user-friendly platforms and are able to control CNC machining centers, human-machine interfaces, drives, and motors.
