The E4809-045-035-D OPUS 5000 is a main board introduced in the OSP 5000 motion control platform. The OSP 5000 is used for a wider range of automation tasks. This model is used for a wide range of motion control tasks and finds its application with the CNC machining centers and lathe machines. The main board assists the system in making instantaneous automation decisions and implementing them in real time. The OSP 5000 is a reliable automation system that comes with enhanced capabilities due to its NC operation panel, pendant panel, and control board. The OSP 5000 is provided with an SVP board and a data board in addition to the E4809-045-035-D OPUS 5000 main board. With the assistance of the main board, the process of controlling the machine’s feed cutting rate becomes more efficient.
The E4809-045-035-D OPUS 5000 main board is provided with interfaces for data communication and a main processor is also installed in it. With the high performance Motorolla 6800 microprocessor, the system can operate at a clock frequency of 15 Mhz. For system expansion purposes, a system bus (backplane or motherboard) is also provided in this model. In addition, ribbon cables are also provided for system expansion. The main board has the ability to control the bubble memory, slave processors, interface circuits, and the bubble memory. The bubble memory plays a critical role in storing the machine parameters, control software, and part programs. The bubble memory is stored in the bubble card and up to two bubble cards can be installed on the main board.
