The machine’s feed cutting rate is drastically improved with the use of the 32-bit architecture of the system. There are multiple machine tools available with the OSP 5000 series that consist of an NC operation panel, an options panel, and a pendant operation panel. The E4809-045-035-B OPUS 5000 is used in the OSP 5000/5020. The main control board is powered by the Motorolla 68000 microprocessor which is high performance that comes with a clock frequency of 15 Mhz. The main control has the ability to support drive control tasks with its IC memory, slave processors, interface circuits, and bubble memory. The bubble memory is inside the bubble card and is used to store the control software, machine parameters, and part programs. The bubble cards are available in 4, 8, 12, and 16 Mbits. There are up to two bubble cards that can be mounted on the E4809-045-035-B OPUS 5000 mainboard and each bubble card comes with a capacity of 32 Mbits.
