Product Description

Okuma is a Japanese engineering company that has been serving different industries for decades. Over the years, the company has introduced quite a few drive systems and computerized accessories. In this regards, OPUS 5000 II system by Okuma gained quite a success.

The E4809-045-109-E is a breaker board belonging to Okuma OPUS 5000 II SVP drive system. The breaker board features numerous slots and connecting points to bridge connection between the main computer and the motor drives. The breaker board is located inside the controller box. The controller box is spacious enough to accommodate the driver inside it, for strong connection and smooth flow of signals. The stepper motors, being the acting agents, reside outside the controller box, and they may be located closer or farther from the controller box. Initially, the E4809-045-109-E segregates the bundled cable coming from the main computer, so that drivers can be connected to it. These drivers, are then connected to the stepper motors. As the circuitry is developed, the E4809-045-109-E is tasked with transferring instructions to the drivers. It also forwards stepper signals (in AC/DC voltage format) to the motor.

Apart from building connectivity between the main computer and output module, the Okuma E4809-045-109-E SVP board also ensures protection of its circuitry and other components from contaminants. At the same time, it needs to ensure safety of the main computer, and it does so with the help of opto-couplers or optical switches. These opto-couplers prevent the computer from damages that may otherwise be cause due to motor malfunction, sparks or short in switches. Installing the breaker board is not quite difficult. After manual replacement of the board, follow the user manual and software sync the breaker board with the SVP system.
