Product Description

The E4809-032-216-M is a multi-turn encoder that is suitable for applications that are more complicated and demand length positioning requirements. It also has a microprocessor interface module regulates for programming different operating parameters which include resolution. The advantage of the E4809-032-216-M encoder is that it has a non-volatile memory. Therefore, since it works as a non-volatile position verification device, true positioning is never lost in case the power goes is lost, or the system moves when the power is switched off. You do not have to worry about continuous reading since it is not needed, especially for applications where position verification is necessary, such as satellite-tracking antennas.

The E4809-032-216-M absolute encoder also avails programming flexibility. By eliminating the need for system homing, it is possible to control the encoders and ensure that the positioning programs are set up from point to point. This encoder also has a safety feature where the loss of positions is automatically repositioned after switching the power back on. The encoder has a single-digit micrometer range which allows repeatability of the positioning. The E4809-032-216-M encoder has great accuracy and perpetual strength, which Okuma has greatly ensured that it has a complete drive system package.

The encoder retains the existing position if the power is cut off and it is a fundamental part of Okuma machines which are numerically controlled. The absolute encoder also has minimum electrical noise. The encoder controls the frequency of positioning through regularly reading the coded signal. The stray pulses that are common from electrical noises thus will not build up, and precise position will be presented again during the next reading. Okuma-built components have a technical combination which allows great accuracy. Therefore, the encoder is compatible with Computer Numerical Control (CNC).
