Product Description
Kollmorgen is an engineering firm that manufactures and supplies top of the line motion control equipment, including servo motors, synchronous motors, DC motors, drives, and amplifiers.
The TBM-6013-A is a low inertia motor that delivers high power despite its small dimensions. The motor is from the TBM series and is a direct drive torque motor. Using a machine’s own bearings, the motor can be directly embedded on to the machine. The TBM-6013-A can deliver a peak torque of 1.39 Nm with a 19 A peak current. This model has a unique advantage of a low cogging design. Because of this, the surface finish is drastically improved. The lower cogging torque proves instrumental in reducing the position error because cogging torque has been identified as the main cause of uncompensated position error. Because of a compact form factor, the motor can deliver high power. A compact geometry allows the users to install the motor where available space is limited, but power requirements are high.
The TBM-6013-A is RoHS compliant and comes with laser marked armatures. This model comes with banded rotors. To achieve perfect bandaging, the banding tape is applied with high mechanical tension. The TBM-6013-A is frequently used in sight systems, weapon systems, drone guidance and propulsion, and in robotics. The motor has a 63.5 mm outer dimension and comes with corrosion-resistant body. The motor's rotors are constructed from stainless steel that protects against corrosion. This model has a top speed of 4300 rpm and operates on 48 volts DC power supply. The motor’s internal windings are designed to sustain temperatures as high as 155 ᵒC. This model’s torque sensitivity is 0.087 Nm/A.
