Product Description
Kollmorgen is seen as a symbol of quality and reliability in the field of motion control. The company’s servo and DC motors are widely used in the industry.
The TBM-12995-B is a direct drive torque motor that has low inertia and a compact form factor. The motor has been designed for applications where space is constrained, and the power requirements are high. The motor's low inertia gives a significant advantage when high acceleration is needed. Because of low inertia, the accuracy of motion trajectories is improved with faster axis accelerations. The TBM-12995-B is a RoHS compliant motor and also comes with the CE approval. The motor can reach a maximum speed of 2700 rpm. A 100 Volts DC supply is required for the motor’s operation. Another advantage is that users can directly embed the motor onto the machine. This is done by using the machine’s bearings. Because of a compact form factor, the motor can deliver high power. The system is ideal for weapon stations, sight systems, UAV and drone propulsion, UAV and drone guidance, and robotics.
The TBM-12995-B has been designed with a low cogging design. This helps during servo applications because the position error can be significantly reduced. The primary cause of the positional error has been identified as cogging torque. This issue is solved because of the motor's low cogging torque. The motor weighs 4.5 kg and can deliver a peak stall of torque of 9.88 Nm. Because of stainless steel construction, the TBM-12995-B’s rotors are protected against corrosion. The motor’s outer diameter is 128.93 mm with a through bore of 55.8 mm. The internal windings can sustain high temperatures (up to 155 ᵒC), and the armatures are laser marked.
