Product Description

The SS2000MD7 is a highly sophisticated industrial oscillatory and analog speed follower designed by Kollmorgen to carry out the accurate control of industrial motors used in industrial production systems. This device is a very flexible device that is designed to operate with the Syn-Slo 2000 stepper drive series; it features a flexible processing unit that makes it perfectly compatible with standard “Paulse and Direction” drives used in the industrial servo systems.

This device features an enclosure that offers it complete protection from the penetration of slolid foreign materials with external diameters higher than 12 millimeters; this enclosure, however, does not offer the controller protection against liquid interference; thus, operators should ensure the controller is integrated into a switch cabinet that meets at least the IP54 protection class. The speed control carried out by this industrial oscillatory, and analog speed follower is done through a potentiometer adjustment and an analog speed following from a voltage or current level source.

The SS2000MD7 oscillatory and analoug speed follower regulates its temperature via natural convection; thus, during the installation of the speed follower, a minimum distance of about 56 millimeters should be kept around the device to allow for the easy movement of cool air into and around the speed follower. Also, operators should try as much as possible to keep the controller away from noise sources as this can interfere with the integrity of the controller. Only persons who have gone through the documentation of this industrial device should be allowed to operate, configure, and install this device; this is important to prevent electrical accidents caused by the inappropriate handling of the oscillatory and analog speed follower.
