Product Description
The SS2000I-V is a new generational oscillatory and analog speed follower produced by highly trained operators of Kollmorgen to provide variable speed control for industrial servo motors through potentiometer adjustments and analog speed following from a current level source. This follower is by highly trained engineers; it is a cost-effective device compatible with Slo-Syn 2000 stepper motor drive series or any other industrial servo drive that can rotate in all directions. The application of this speed follower improves productivity in the servo system as operators can adjust the rotational speed, low speed, acceleration and deceleration of industrial motors used with industrial machines. The selection of the industrial motor's rotational speed can be made by the use of a four-position DIP switch.
The SS2000I-V industrial speed follower is particularly safe for industrial operation; however, operators should ensure that all the instructions stated by Kollmorgen in the documentation of the drive, failure to follow these instructions can cause unexpected machine breakdown and dangerous movements in the industrial servo motor. The electrical input voltage used by this speed follower falls between 90 to 265 volts; this input voltage should have a frequency of 50 or 60 hertz. The power circuit of this industrial speed follower is vulnerable to sudden current surges; thus, the follower is designed with an internal fuse that has a current rating of 2 amperes and a voltage rating of about 250 volts.
All parts of the SS2000I-V industrial speed follower must be connected to a grounding system before the device is operated; this is to prevent electrical accidents caused by the leakage current generated by the internal components of the speed follower during operation.
