Product Description

The Kollmorgen SS2000D6i is a packaged motor controller and drive. The input rating of the drive system is 120 Volts AC. The power supply on the drive can tolerate ±10% variation in the input voltage. The motor phase current is selectable and can be set to a maximum value of 6 Amps. The SS2000D6i supports short-circuit protection. Optically isolated I/O including 8 inputs and 4 outputs are available on the system. A Windows based software development utility for easy programming is also available. The drive programming language is similar to the BASIC language and is very easy to use. Other drive system features include 16-bit microprocessor, encoder input for closed loop operation, BCD interface with separate connector, two RS-232 / RS-485 serial ports that support up to 38 kbaud, integrated AC line filter and smooth operation at low motor speeds.  

The SS2000D6i drive is designed for motors in sizes NEMA 23, NEMA 34 and NEMA 42. The product manual includes a table that lists the current setting for each motor that can be used with the drive. The integrated step motor drive utilizes digital microstepping current control technology for smooth motor performance. Height of the SS2000D6i drive is 262 millimeters, the width is 93 millimeters, and the depth is 147 millimeters. The rated drive power dissipation is 50 watts. The drive system is fitted with a heat sink that helps to keep temperature below critical limits. Weight of the SS2000D6i is 3.5 kilograms. Temperature recommended by Kollmorgen for drive operation is 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The recommended temperature for storage is -40 to 75 degrees Celsius. Trained personnel should install and operate the SS2000D6i and associated motors.
