Product Description
The Superior Electric SE2135 is a DC motor controller. The model of the controller is basic on-off. It is available in a NEMA 4/12 enclosure with operators. Input of the controller is designed to operate at single-phase 230 Volts AC. The controller output can be connected to permanent magnet and shunt wound DC motors rated for 3 to 5 Horsepower. Design features of the controller include full wave power conversion circuit with two SCRs and three diodes, transient voltage protection by MOV, dead front and back construction, isolation of control circuit from main circuit potential and tachometer generator feedback. The SE2135 supports adjustments for maximum speed, minimum speed, IR compensation, acceleration, deceleration, torque, slope, field supply, jog, torque and slope control, control relay and overcurrent protection. The DC armature can be selected for 90- or 180-Volts DC through jumper setting.
Other features that can be selected by jumper settings on the SE2135 include feedback, preset jog, field loss, current scaling, acceleration / deceleration time, torque or speed control and overcurrent trip. The SE2135 is a basic-on off model and comes with a two-pole circuit breaker on the enclosed model. The maximum recommended operating temperature for chassis-mount controller models is 55 degrees Celsius. The maximum recommended operating temperature for enclosed controller models is 40 degrees Celsius. The controller can be operated at altitudes of up to 1000 meters. Operating the SE2135 at ambient conditions that exceed the recommended conditions leads to output derating and can also cause the controller to get damaged. To prevent injury and equipment damage, high power electrical systems such as the SE2135 should only be operated and maintained by qualified personnel.
