Product Description

The SERVOSTAR-S700 series is a highly sophisticated servo amplifier that meets the requirements for high complexity applications in an industry, with built-in functional capabilities and connectivity features. An input voltage of ~ 10 V with a resolution of 14 bits implements precisely controlled action. It has a driving loop resistance of 159.8 1/2/km and a maximum cable capacitance of 60 nF/km which preserves signal quality through appropriate distance. The communication lines are terminated by a 150 ~ 5 ohm terminating resistor in order to prevent reflections of signals on the lines.

Key features include the Division of the served binary numbers with the GRAY-code which serves especially in fields where Digital Signal Processing of such precision is required, and where all the ambiguity has to be avoided. The amplifier also incorporates a holding brake which is intended to operate only upon the complete stopping of the motor ensuring safely operated load movements of stationary nature.

Ipeak which can be described as the peak current (effective one) and Irms which is the r.m.s. value of continuous current are under the control of the amplifier and it is significant for ensuring run to run uniformity of motor under different loading conditions. It also contains P-gain, Kp for proportional gain in that very loop to make it possible to tweak the response of movement per the supplied control inputs. Input drift is well controlled to reduce the uncertainties introduced due to temperature and aging to the analog inputs thus promoting stability over time.
