Product Description
The Kollmorgen S7720F-SNF2-PM is a high-performing digital servo amplifier that is built into an electrical machine or plant. The device should be mounted inside a control cabinet and the temperature within the cabinet should be maintained below 40°C by proper ventilation. Only copper conductors must be used for wiring the unit. The cross-sections of the conductor can be derived from the standard IEC 60204. The amplifier should not be used in potentially explosive areas. While transporting the product, shocks must be avoided. The storage temperature of the device is -25°C to +55°C.
The repair of the S700 digital servo amplifier should be done only by the manufacturer. If the user opens the unit, the guarantee becomes void. The product is listed under UL file number E217428. The device provides solid-state motor overload protection at 130% of full load current. The unit can cause high-frequency interference in non-industrial environments. In such cases, measures for interference suppression, like extra external EMC filters, may be required. There is a nameplate attached to the side of the amplifier for identification. The device can be set up using the user-friendly setup software DRIVEGUI.EXE via the serial interface of a personal computer.
The S700 digital servo amplifier portrays complete digital control. The ambient operating temperature of the unit is 0°C to +40°C under rated conditions and +40°C to +55°C with a power derating of 2.5%/K. The product can be mounted in a vertical position. There is a built-in fan for ventilation and a fan controller in the second slot. The servo amplifier has the functional safe restart lock STO, using which the drive can be secured in standstill mode. So, even when there is a power supply, the drive shaft will be protected against an unintentional restart.
