The Kollmorgen S7720F-SEF2-PM is a reliable digital servo amplifier that is intended for driving compatible brushless synchronous servomotors, DC motors, and asynchronous motors with control of speed, torque, and/or position. The device has autotuning and cogging suppression qualities. In general, the unit is meant for use in industrial environments. However, if the product is used in residential areas, the user should implement additional filter measures. It should be noted that the servo amplifier should be operated only in a closed control cabinet, considering its ambient operating conditions. The device should be transported only by qualified personnel in the original recyclable packaging provided by the manufacturer.

The S700 digital servo amplifier has a rated input power of 50 kVA for continuous operation. The amplifier’s rated DC bus link voltage is 290 to 675 V. The bandwidth of the current controller of the product is greater than 1.2 (bis 5). The amplifier’s residual voltage drop at the rated current is 6 V. The product weighs 13 kg. The unit contains components that are electrostatically sensitive and are likely to be damaged by incorrect handling. The user should discharge himself or herself before touching the device.

The S700 digital servo amplifier features a two-channel STO (Safe Torque Off) function, which blocks the power transistors’ trigger pulses. The product must be installed and commissioned only after reading the available documentation carefully. It should be noted that improper handling of the device can result in damage to property and/or injury to people. Generally, the amplifier does not require any maintenance. If the casing of the device is dirty, it can be cleaned using isopropanol or a similar cleaning agent.
