The Kollmorgen S7720F-SEF2-PA is a versatile digital servo amplifier in the S700 series. The device is designed for driving compatible brushless synchronous/asynchronous motors and DC motors controlled by position, speed, and/or torque. In general, the unit is meant for use in industrial environments. If it is to be used in commercial or residential areas, additional filter measures should be implemented. The product can be supplied from three-phase earthed industrial supply networks. It should be noted that the rated voltage of the motor should be at least as high as the servo amplifier’s DC bus link voltage divided by 2. During transit, shocks should be avoided.

The maximum humidity during transport should be maintained at 95% without condensation. The unit can be stored for less than one year without any restrictions. The inside of the product should be cleaned only by the manufacturer. The user should not immerse the unit in any liquid. Spraying must also be avoided. In the case of an excessively high temperature inside the control cabinet, the device shuts down. So, sufficient forced ventilation in the control cabinet must be ensured. The rated current of the unit is 72 Arms. The product weighs 13 kg and is 190 mm wide.

The capacitors of the S700 digital servo amplifier can exhibit dangerous voltages for up to eight minutes after turning off the power supply. Touching exposed surfaces can cause severe injury and sometimes death. So, all the covers and the cabinet doors must be kept closed during operation. There are warning signs added to the housing of the device. If these signs are torn or damaged, they should be replaced immediately.
