Product Description

The Kollmorgen S7720F-PNF2-PA is a digital servo amplifier that is designed for driving suitable servomotors and DC motors controlled by speed, torque, and/or position. If the device is used in small industrial operations or residential areas, the user should use additional filter measures. The servo amplifier can be supplied from a three-phase earthed industrial supply network. Periodic overvoltage between the phases L1, L2, and L3 and the unit’s housing should not exceed 1000 V crest. Commissioning the product is prohibited if the equipment in which it is installed fails to meet the requirements of the following: EC Machinery Directive, EMC Directive, Low Voltage Directive, and/or any national directives.

The S700 digital servo amplifier is listed under the UL file number E217428. During transit, shocks should be avoided. The maximum permissible temperature for transporting the device is +70°C. The dimensions of the packaging of the unit are 390 x 600 x 400 mm. The maximum stacking height of the product is 3 cartons. It should be noted that the product can be stored for less than one year without any limitations. The servo amplifier does not need any maintenance; opening the unit invalidates the warranty. The bandwidth of the current controller of the device is > 1.2 (bis 5) kHz. The unit has a rated DC bus link voltage of 290–675 V.

Repair of the S700 digital servo amplifier should be performed only by the manufacturer. Opening the product means a loss of guarantee. The unit does not come with motor over-temperature sensing. The product is fully programmable through the RS232 interface. The memory card facilitates read/write access to the firmware and parameter records. The unit works completely with digital control.
