Product Description

The Kollmorgen S7720F-PBF2-PA is a best-in-class digital servo amplifier with expansion modules in all three slots. The first slot has the PROFIBUS expansion card, the second slot has the fan controller, and the third slot features the Posl/O Monitor. The PROFIBUS expansion card contains two 9-pin Sub-D sockets that are wired in parallel. The supply voltage for this expansion card is provided by the device. The rated current of the unit is 72 Arms, and its rated voltage is 208 to 480 V. The product is equipped with a built-in fan for cooling.

The S700 digital servo amplifier has a maximum noise emission of 68 dB (A). The maximum thermal dissipation (output stage disabled) is 24 W. The product weighs 13 kg. The device is 190 mm wide. The depth of the device with connectors is 285 mm. The personnel should read the available product documentation carefully before installation and commissioning. The maximum ambient temperature at which the device should be operated is 40°C. Coated PCBs are the electrical/mechanical option of the servo amplifier.

The surface of the S700 digital servo amplifier can be very hot in operation. There is a risk of burns. The surface temperature of the unit can exceed 80°C. So, before touching the unit, the user should measure the temperature and wait until the machine has cooled down below 40°C. It is important to ensure that the product is earthed safely to the PE busbar in the switch cabinet. The user is not allowed to modify the device without the manufacturer’s permission. Opening the housing of the unit causes a loss of warranty, and the associated certificates become invalid.
