The S7720F-NANA-PM is a digital servo amplifier manufactured by Kollmorgen to improve industrial operation by accurately controlling the speed, position, and torque output of industrial servo motors. This servo amplifier is intended to be used exclusively with synchronous, asynchronous, and DC servo motor, it is a maintenance free device, and it is delivered with a 12-month warranty. The servo amplifier features an housing unit that provides it with protection according to the IP20 protection class, for optimum protection, it should be installed in a closed control cabinet that provides additional protection against external interference. Also, the use of the servo amplifier in potentially explosive areas, ships, offshore applications, and environments with corrosive and electrically conductive acids, and alkaline solutions is prohibited. A 3-character LED display is integrated into the front panel of the servo amplifier, this display allows operators to monitor the operation status of the servo amplifier in real time.

The S7720F-NANA-PM servo amplifier features the PosI/O expansion card, this expansion card is integrated into slot 3 of the servo amplifier, it provides the amplifier with an extra SubD connector with high-speed bi-directional digital 5V input and output. The rated supply voltage required by the servo amplifier during operation is about 208 to 480 volts, also, the input power required by the amplifier for continuous operation is about 50 kilovolts amperes.

The S7720F-NANA-PM servo amplifier features a built-in air blower which dissipates excess heat from the amplifier via forced ventilation. The permissible ambient temperature suited for the operation of this servo amplifier is between 0 to about 40 degree celsius, while the maximum permissible installation height for the amplifier is 1000 meters above sea level.
