The servo amplifier is designed to be used exclusively with synchronous, asynchronous, and DC motor designs, it belongs to the IP20 protection category, and requires installation into a closed control cabinet before it is switched on for operation. The handling of the servo amplifier is designed to be very easy and safe, however it is still important to ensure that only electrically qualified personnel are allowed to handle the operation of the servo amplifier.

The S7720F-NAF2-F2 servo amplifier is a maintenance free device, operators are not allowed to modify the servo amplifier without permission by the manufacturer. Opening the housing of the amplifier causes loss of warranty and all certificates covering it become invalid.
