The S7720F-FBF2-PM is a reliable digital servo amplifier launched by Kollmorgen. The product is designed for driving compatible motors controlled by speed, torque, and/or position. If the unit is used in commercial areas, residential areas, or small industrial operations, the user should implement additional filter measures to avoid dangerous consequences. The servo amplifier can be supplied from a three-phase grounded industrial supply network. The periodic overvoltage between the phases L1, L2, and L3 and the unit’s housing should not exceed 1000 V crest. The motor’s rated voltage should be at least as high as the DC bus link voltage divided by 2 generated by the servo amplifier.

Commissioning the S700 digital servo amplifier is prohibited if the machine in which it is installed fails to fulfill the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive, EMC Directive, or Low Voltage Directive. The device does not need any maintenance. It must be noted that opening the device voids the warranty. If the casing of the product is dirty, the user can clean it with isopropanol or a similar cleaning agent. The device supports Vibrations Class 3M1 as per IEC 60721-3-3. It has an Enclosure Protection of IP 20 in accordance with IEC 60529 specifications.
