Product Description

The S7720F-2CF2-S3 is a digital servo amplifier from Kollmorgen intended for driving suitable servomotors controlled by speed, torque, and/or position. The unit has the 2CAN expansion module in the first slot, the fan controller in the second slot, and the safety card S1-2, SIL 3 in the third slot. The 2CAN expansion module provides interfaces on separate Sub-D connectors. The 2CAN connectors are wired parallel. It is possible to switch a 120-Ohm termination resistor for the CAN bus into the circuit if the servo amplifier is at the end of the bus. The product has an in-built fan for forced ventilation.

The peak output current of the S700 digital servo amplifier for approximately five seconds is 140 Arms with a tolerance of +/- 3%. The unit’s rated DC bus link voltage is 290 to 675 V. The rated input power of the device for continuous operation is 50 kVA. If the casing of the product is dirty, the user can clean it using isopropanol. It should be noted that the device must not be immersed in or sprayed with water or any other liquid. The inside of the unit can be cleaned only by the manufacturer. The protective grill on the fan can be cleaned using a soft, dry brush.

The Stop function of the S700 digital servo amplifier is used to shut it down in normal operation. The unit’s Stop functions are defined by IEC 60204 specifications. The product has a two-channel STO function. The function tends to block the trigger pulses of the power transistors. There are warning signs added to the housing of the unit. In the event of damage to these signs, they should be replaced immediately.
