The S7720F-2CF2-F2 is an industrial servo amplifier produced by Kollmorgen for driving suitable brushless synchronous servomotors, asynchronous motors, and DC motors. The servo amplifier accurately controls the torque, speed, and position of connected servo motors according to predetermined configuration parameters. The servo amplifier belongs to the overvoltage category III according to EN 61800-5-1 and can be supplied from 3-phase grounded industrial supply networks such as the TN-system, and the TT-system with a grounded neutral point. Also, the servo amplifier can be used with DC mains input power, however the DC installation much be reviewed and evaluated by the user for branch circuit production, wire size, wire voltage rating, fuse protection, system dielectric requirements, overvoltage, and input current rating.

The S7720F-2CF2-F2 servo amplifier operates with a rated supply voltage of 208 to 480 volts, also the rated input power required by the amplifier for continuous operation is about 50 kilovolts amperes. An air blower is built into the housing of the amplifier, the air blower protects the amplifier from overtemperature by dissipating excess heat via forced ventilation.
