Product Description
The Kollmorgen S7720C-PNF2-S3 digital servo amplifier should not be allowed to come in contact with electronic components and contacts. This servo amplifier must be set up in a site that is free of corrosive or conductive materials. The product must be operated within the permitted ambient temperature range. This device has a DC bus link that should be checked to ensure that its voltage is below 50 V before the amplifier can be operated. The unit depends on a PLC to monitor its status and acknowledge critical situations. Its cabinet must be safely disconnected with a lockout and appropriate warning signs. This amplifier is prone to damage because of excessively high fusing.
The product must be wired correctly for the reliable functioning of the servo system. This device must be associated with power cables that have an adequate cross-section as per IEC 60204 specifications. The unit can be associated with shield connection terminal clamps or cable ties to fix the cable to the side of the front panel. Its motor power cable must have a grounding for the shielding at both ends. This amplifier should be associated with a 3YLN motor choke if the motor cable length is more than 25 m.
The product is operated through the standard menu by default. This device reports a F14 error when there is a fault in the power output stage or cable shielding or a wrong motor cable is used. The unit has an open BTB/RTO contact when faults that cause its shutdown occur. Its warning messages often do not result in an automatic shutdown. This servo amplifier portrays a HMI communication fault message if its cable is plugged into the wrong position.
