Product Description
The S7720C-PBF2-F2 digital servo amplifier by Kollmorgen can be used to drive synchronous and asynchronous servomotor, DC motors, and linear motors. This servo amplifier comprises a pulse direction interface. The product also has various options for feedback onboard. This device incorporates direct shielding connections on its power section. The unit portrays overvoltage category III according to IEC 61800-5-1 specifications. It has a dedicated slot for a safety card with additional safety functions for safe drive operation. This amplifier can operate as a digital current controller for 62.5 µs.
The product supports direct operation using two keys and a three-character LED display if no PC is available. This device is integrated with IEC 61131 structured text for macro programming. The unit has an integrated circuit to detect the failure of one or more phases. Its output stage is forced to switch off automatically when some faults are encountered. This amplifier performs the Category 1 stop function to shut down the machine by using the energy supplied to it and cutting off the energy supply after the shutdown.
The product has an STO safety function that corresponds to stop category 0 according to EN 60204 specifications. This device supports the implementation of SIL2 / PLe solutions. The unit cannot hold a vertical load when the STO function is active. It renders maintenance-free operation when it is used as intended. This servo amplifier has a leakage current through the protective earth conductor resulting from the combination of cable and equipment leakage currents. The product uses a RCD that is sensitive to any current to detect a faulty DC.
