Product Description
The S7720C-NANA-PA digital servo amplifier by Kollmorgen has only one expansion card in the third slot specified for this purpose. This servo amplifier must be operated only half an hour after it has been cleaned to avoid a risk of injury due to explosion. The product related setup and basic tests are meant to be executed by personnel with expertise in electrical engineering and drive technology. This device is susceptible to damage if its permissible voltage and current ratings are exceeded. The unit should be connected to only a compatible motor. It must be installed in a machine for which a risk assessment has been done to make sure that unforeseen movements do not trigger personnel injury or property damage. This amplifier is meant to be the user only after he/she has electrostatically discharged himself/herself.
The product offers no guarantee of personnel protection without a low-resistance earthing connection. This device is not intended to be opened or touched when it is being operated. The unit has a TUV certified STO safety implementation. Its built-in protective measures must never be removed. The amplifier continues to have a residual voltage for ten minutes after the power is removed. This product must be fitted with a mains choke if the mains voltage symmetry is more than 3%. The device encompasses a PosI/O-Monitor expansion card in the third slot indicated for this purpose.
This servo amplifier has an extra X3C connector with analog inputs and outputs on its expansion card. The unit comprises an EEPROM where its MPHASE parameter is stored. Its power output forms an oscillating circuit together with the motor winding and the motor supply cable. This product supports three feedback systems at a time. The device is fed back with information using analog or digital means based on the feedback system. The unit uses a specific connector for each feedback connection. It comes with Ethernet connectivity onboard.
