Product Description
The Kollmorgen S7720C-NAF2-NA digital servo amplifier has a current rating of 72 Arms. This servo amplifier activates the emergency stop function to shut down the machine as fast as possible when a dangerous situation is encountered. The product incorporates very little wiring for its STO function. This device poses a risk of serious injury when a suspended load is not blocked properly. The unit must be braked in a controlled way before the STO inputs are separated. It supports only residual current protective devices that are sensitive to all currents. This amplifier connection to the isolation transformer must be done using wiring that is as short as possible.
The product must always be mounted in a closed switchgear cabinet. This device must be assembled close to the choke, filter, and power supply on the grounded and conductive mounting plate in the cabinet. The unit uses six M5 hexagon socket screws adhering to ISO 4762 specifications for attaching the coldplate. Its BTB/RTO contact must be connected in series in the emergency off circuit so that critical situations can be acknowledged. This amplifier must be provided with a fusing for its power section by the user.
This product encompasses programmable analog inputs. The device can act like a digital current controller with pulse-width modulation and space vector for 62.5 µs. The unit has reduced noise emission because of the fan controller. Its live sections may be uncovered because of the level of enclosure protection. This servo amplifier offers no assurance of personnel protection without low-resistance earthing. The product has an input power rating of 50 kVA for continuous operation.
