Product Description

The S7720C-FBF2-S4 digital servo amplifier by Kollmorgen is meant to be operated with an AC input. The servo amplifier comes fitted with EMC filters. The product also comprises an integrated power supply and brake resistor. This device is installed vertically inside its switchgear cabinet. The unit is meant to be wired as per the connection diagram given in its manual. Its power section supports a single-phase supply operation. This amplifier portrays a power derating of 2.5% / K for an operating temperature range of 40 °C to 55 °C.

The product shuts down on its own when the temperature inside the control cabinet becomes very high. This device is not UL Listed. The unit can be used with a third-party stepper motor controller. Its power section comprises a brake circuit that features a dynamic distribution of the generated power between multiple amplifiers on the same DC bus link circuit. This amplifier is capable of functioning like a digital current controller with pulse-width modulation and space vector for 62.5 µs.

The product has two direction selectable and programmable digital inputs. This device uses the first two digital inputs for high-speed feedback signals and latch functions because they are very fast. The unit can be associated with a restart lockout for functional safety by using the STO enable inputs along with an external safety circuit. Its operational readiness is indicated by a floating relay contact. This servo amplifier should not be connected to the PC with a null-modem power link cable. The product related firmware can be stored in the memory card in the S-record format or binary format. This device must be in the off state before its memory card is removed or inserted.
