Product Description

The Kollmorgen S7720C-DNF2-F2 digital servo amplifier is mounted on the backplane of a closed switchgear cabinet. This servo amplifier produces a high electrical voltage of up to 900 V when it is in use. The product comprises capacitors that may have dangerous voltages for up to 10 minutes after the supply power is switched off. This device must be matched with the associated motor in terms of current and voltage ratings. The unit tends to get damaged because of wrong wiring, an unsuitable motor, or wrong mains wiring. It should not be associated with excessively high external fusing. This amplifier must be connected with cables that comply with EN 60204 specifications.

The product has to be installed and wired only when it is not in the live state. This device has a three-character LED display that indicates its status after the 24 V supply is switched on. The unit is fed back with energy during braking with the help of the motor. It is not possible to couple individual amplifiers through the DC bus link circuit. This amplifier behavior is determined by the ACTFAULT, STOPMODE, and ERRCODE ASCII commands. The product displays the 'n05' warning if an input phase is missing.

This device deploys a special sequence for turning off the output stage when it is equipped with a selected brake function. The unit is secured in standstill mode using its internal electronics with the STO function so that the drive shaft is protected against unintentional restart even when the power supply is active. It supports three categories of Stop functions according to IEC 60204 specifications. This servo amplifier must be mounted in an enclosure with at least an IP 54 protection class.
