Product Description
The S7720C-2CF2-S4 Kollmorgen digital servo amplifier is mounted vertically inside the control cabinet. This servo amplifier comprises a coldplate to support its operation. The product encompasses a safety card in the third expansion card slot. This product is prone to damage because of condensation on its surface and inside. The device delivers maintenance-free operation if it is used as intended. The unit can be set up through a PC by using the DRIVEGUI.EXE software. It controls the holding brake of the motor. This amplifier monitors its temperature during the operation phase and turns off automatically when it gets overheated.
The product portrays its current rating on a three-character LED display on the front panel at startup. This device features a grounding system for its RS 232 interface. The unit allows the user to use the CAN interface and the RS 232 interface on separate SubD connectors. Its power supply and 24 V auxiliary voltage should be in the off state before any work is commenced on the amplifier.
This servo amplifier can be integrated with a 120 Ohms termination resistor for the CAN bus in its circuit if the amplifier is at the end of the bus. The product uses standard shielded cables for the CAN and RS 232 interfaces. This device has reduced noise emission because of the controlled fan that runs at 50% speed or turns on and off alternatively for this purpose. The unit can be associated with a rotary synchronous motor. Its SDI function ensures that the amplifier moves only in one direction.
