Product Description

The S7720C-2CF2-PM digital servo amplifier by Kollmorgen has a peak output current rating of 140 A. This servo amplifier executes the Emergency Stop function to shut down the machine as fast as possible in a dangerous situation. The product cannot be operated on a standalone basis. This device must be blocked mechanically when there is a suspended load. The unit must adhere to the safety requirements of IEC 60204, ISO12100, and IEC62061 specifications for the wiring of its safety circuits. It must be protected against direct contact by using a 30 mA RCD. This amplifier is operated through an isolating transformer when shock-hazard protection is needed.

The product must never be mounted on a painted mounting plate. This device must have adequate space above and below it inside the switchgear cabinet. The unit must be installed and wired only when it is not in the live state. Its feedback lines must not be extended as this can cause the shielding to be interrupted. This amplifier must have an electrically conductive connection with a large surface area between the amplifier and the mounting plate inside the control cabinet.

The product has a 2CAN module mounted in the first expansion slot. This device related SubD connectors must be ordered separately. The unit supports master-slave operation by using the X5 SubD connectors. Its 2CAN interface offers interfaces on separate SubD connectors. This servo amplifier has a rated frequency of 50/60 Hz. The product has additional analog inputs and outputs because of the PosI/O monitor in the third expansion card slot. This device must be installed and commissioned after reading its documentation.
