The Kollmorgen S7720A-SNF2-F2 is a reliable digital servo amplifier designed to be used as an integral part of an electrical machine or plant. The use of the device is prohibited in several environments, including environments with corrosive and/or electrically conductive acids, alkaline solutions, oils, vapors, or dust, directly on non-grounded supply networks or asymmetrically grounded supplies with a voltage exceeding 240 V. The product has a built-in fan for cooling. The first slot of the device is equipped with the 2CAN expansion module, and the third slot contains the Posl/O expansion card.

The S700 digital servo amplifier must be repaired only by the manufacturer. If the user opens the unit, the warranty becomes invalid. The servo amplifier can be set up using the DRIVEGUI.EXE software, which is part of the delivery package. It can be set up through the serial interface of a computer. The nameplate of the device carries the technical details. Only well-qualified personnel must perform tasks such as transport, setup, assembly, and maintenance of the device. They must know and follow the IEC 60364 / IEC 60664 specifications and relevant national accident prevention regulations.
