Product Description
The Kollmorgen S7720A-SEF2-S4 is a digital servo amplifier with excellent cogging suppression and autotuning features. The device should not be used in potentially explosive areas and environments with electrically conductive acids, alkaline solutions, vapors, oils, or dust and on ships or offshore applications. The unit has a pollution level of 2 according to IEC 60664-1 specifications. The product has a 3M1 vibration class as per IEC 60721-3-3 specifications. The device has an LED display to show its operating status. There is a built-in fan for ventilation. The rated current of the amplifier is 72 Arms.
The rated DC bus link voltage of the S700 digital servo amplifier is 290 V to 675 V. The unit has a peak output current of 140 Arms for approximately five seconds with a tolerance of +/- 3%. There is a card reader on the top of the device for memory cards. The firmware and the full set of parameters can be stored on the memory card. The product supports MMC and SD cards. If the permissible current or voltage values are exceeded, the amplifier can be damaged. The behavior of the product depends on the current settings of the different parameters.
The feedback lines of the S700 digital servo amplifier may not be extended, because they may interrupt shielding and signal processing. Lines between the servo amplifier and the external brake resistor should be shielded. If the device is not grounded properly, there is a high risk of electrical shock that can cause serious personal injury or death. An isolating transformer, which is asymmetrically grounded or not grounded, is needed for 400V to 480V networks.
