The S7720A-SEF2-F2 is a digital servo amplifier launched by Kollmorgen. The device is designed for use in industrial environments. It has three slots for expansion modules. The first slot of the unit has the Sercos II expansion card. The second and third slots are equipped with a controlled fan. The product should be handled only by trained personnel. Incorrect handling of the servo amplifier can lead to damage to property and/or harm to people. The unit should always be mounted in a closed control cabinet. There should be sufficient ventilation within the cabinet. The temperature inside the cabinet should not exceed 40°C.

The maximum noise emission of the S700 digital servo amplifier is 68 dB (A). The unit’s switching frequency of the output stage is 8 kHz. There are warning signs attached to the housing of the device. Damaged warning signs must be replaced immediately. The user cannot modify the product without the manufacturer’s permission. The product can be operated with DC motors, brushless synchronous servomotors, and asynchronous motors. If the product packaging is damaged, the user must inspect the device for visible damage. The shipper and the manufacturer must be immediately informed in the event of damage.

The S700 digital servo amplifier must be packed in recyclable cardboard with inserts. The user can clean the unit’s casing using isopropanol or a similar cleaning agent. The servo amplifier is not equipped with motor over-temperature sensing. This unit is fully programmable via the RS232 interface. The device supports fast setup as there are connectors provided for all connections. There is a memory card meant for firmware and parameter updates. Only copper conductors must be used to wire the product.
