Product Description
The Kollmorgen S7720A-PNF2-S3 is a digital servo amplifier that is intended for complex drive tasks. The device comes with extended functionality. The unit can cause high-frequency interference in non-industrial environments. This demands measures like additional external EMC filters for interference suppression. Only 60°C or 75°C copper wires must be used for wiring the product. The dirt inside the servo amplifier should be cleaned only by the manufacturer. The casing of the device can be cleaned by the user using a cleaning solution like isopropanol. The protective grill on the fan can be cleaned using a dry brush.
If the S700 digital servo amplifier is stored for more than one year, the capacitors must be re-formed prior to setting up and operating the device. If the packaging of the unit is damaged, the unit must be checked for visible damage. In the event of damage, the user must inform the manufacturer and the shipper. The use of the product is prohibited in potentially explosive areas and environments with corrosive and/or electrically conductive acids, oils, alkaline solutions, vapors, or dust. The unit has a 3M1 vibration class according to IEC 60721-3-3 specifications.
The ambient operating temperature of the S700 digital servo amplifier is 0 to +40°C under rated conditions and +40 to +55°C with a power derating of 2.5%/K. The device is equipped with a digital current controller and an adjustable digital speed controller. The setup software for the product is DRIVEGUI.EXE. The delivery package of the device contains the servo amplifier, setup software on the CD-ROM, a shielding plate, shield clamps, an instruction manual, online documentation, and mating connectors X3A, X3B, X4, X9A, and X9B.
