The Kollmorgen S7720A-SEF2-PA is a digital servo amplifier in the S700 series that comes with a memory card for firmware and parameter updates. Care should be taken to ensure that the device does not come into contact with plastic films or artificial fabrics. The unit must always be placed on a conductive surface. The product should not be sprayed with or immersed in water or any other liquid for cleaning or other purposes. Only 60°C or 75°C copper wires should be used for wiring the unit. The servo amplifier is not equipped with motor over-temperature sensing.

The ambient operating temperature of the S700 digital servo amplifier is +40 to +55°C with a power derating of 2.5%/K. The device has a pollution level of 2 according to IEC 60664-1 specifications. There is a built-in fan for ventilation. The product has a three-character LED display, which shows the amplifier status after turning on the 24 V supply. The functional safe restart lock STO secures the drive in standstill mode with its internal electronics. This prevents the drive shaft from an unintentional restart even when power is supplied.

The S700 digital servo amplifier must be protected from impermissible stress. During handling and transport, the user should ensure that components do not bend, or the insulation distances get altered. The device must not come into contact with electronic components and contacts.
