Product Description

The Kollmorgen S7720A-PBF2-F2 digital servo amplifier comprises a PLC compatible floating enable input. This servo amplifier has speed setpoint and torque setpoint as the standard settings for its first and second analog inputs. The product can be linked with another amplifier for master-slave operation. This device is controlled by a secondary feedback system as a slave when the electronic gearing functionality is implemented. The unit uses the first two digital inputs on its X3 connector for wiring a 24 V incremental encoder. Its connection to a resolver feedback system should be done using a cable of not more than 100 m in length. This amplifier controls a motor holding brake.

This product depicts an oscillating circuit for its power output along with the motor winding and motor supply cable. This device is supposed to be used only with a motor that features Class F insulation according to IEC 60085 specifications. The unit supports the parallel connection of its X8/-DC and X8/+RBe terminals for uniform distribution of brake power among all amplifiers on the same DC bus link circuit. Its feedback systems are assigned functions using the FBTYPE, EXTPOS, and GEARMODE parameters.

This servo amplifier comes with EMC filters that suppress interference during its operation. The product can be mounted vertically next to another amplifier in the switchgear cabinet. This device should be assembled close to the choke and filter on the grounded and conductive mounting plate. The unit has reduced leakage current if low-capacity cables are used. Its PE connection screws and PE terminals are used to establish the PE connection. This amplifier housing is cleaned using isopropanol or a similar agent.
