The S7720A-NANA-S3 is a digital servo amplifier from Kollmorgen that is built to drive compatible servomotors in industrial environments. The device comes with extended functionality and is ideal for performing complex drive tasks. If the amplifier is used in residential areas, the user must implement additional filter measures for safety. Cooling or ventilation is required to keep the temperature within the control cabinet of the device below 40°C. The product can be supplied using a 3-phase grounded industrial supply network. The rated voltage of the servomotor should be at least as high as the amplifier’s DC bus link voltage divided by 2.

Commissioning of the S700 digital servo amplifier is prohibited if the equipment in which it is installed fails to fulfill the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive, the Low Voltage Directive, and the EMC Directive. The product must be transported only by qualified personnel in the original recyclable packaging provided by Kollmorgen. If the packaging of the unit is damaged, the user must check the servo amplifier for visible damage. If there is visible damage, the manufacturer and shipper must be informed.

The S700 digital servo amplifier should be placed on a conductive surface. The residual voltage drop of the device is 6 V at rated current. The unit’s maximum noise emission is 68 dB (A). The height of the product without connectors and shielding plate is 386 mm and the height with connectors and shielding plate is 505 mm. The available documentation must be read thoroughly before the installation and commissioning of the servo amplifier.
