Product Description
The Kollmorgen S7720A-NAF2-S4 is a digital servo amplifier in the S700 series. The device should always be mounted in a closed control cabinet. The ventilation inside the cabinet should be unimpeded. The permitted ambient temperature must be maintained below 40°C. The device and the power supply should be assembled close together in the cabinet. Before installation and commissioning of the device should be done only after carefully reading the available documentation. It should be noted that improper handling of the product can cause injury to people and damage to property.
The peak output current of the S700 digital servo amplifier for approximately five seconds is 140 Arms with a tolerance of +/- 3%. The switching frequency of the output stage of the device is 8 kHz. The amplifier can be damaged if its permissible voltage or current values are exceeded. It should be noted that only properly qualified personnel are allowed to perform tasks like assembly, transport, setup, and maintenance of the product. The personnel should observe the IEC 60364 and IEC 60664 specifications and the national accident prevention regulations.
The S700 digital servo amplifier generates high electric voltages up to 900 V. At the time of operation, the device may have uncovered live sections. So, extreme caution should be exercised to avoid the risks of electric shocks. The unit must not be modified without permission from the manufacturer. The product supports MMC and SD memory cards. The servo amplifier can directly control a 24V holding brake in the servomotor. Correct wiring is the foundation for the machine’s reliable functioning. The control and power cables must be routed separately. A distance of a minimum of 200mm should be maintained.
