The S7720A-EIF2-PA is a digital servo amplifier from Kollmorgen that is designed for driving compatible servomotors with control of speed, torque, and/or position. The temperature within the control cabinet of the device should be maintained below 40°C. Only copper conductors must be used for wiring the product. The user can derive the conductor cross-sections from the standard IEC 60204 specifications. The device must be stored only in the original recyclable packaging of the manufacturer. The unit has a maximum stacking height of 3 cartons. The servo amplifier has the Posl/O-Monitor in its third slot. Its functionality can be set using the setup software DRIVEGUI.EXE or with macro functions.

The capacitors of the S700 digital servo amplifier can have dangerous voltages for up to eight minutes after turning off the supply power. Touching exposed contacts can lead to severe injury or even death. When operating the unit, all covers and cabinet doors must remain closed. The packaging of the device contains the servo amplifier, shielding clamps, shielding plate, an instruction manual, online documentation, the setup software on a CD-ROM, and the mating connectors X3A, X3B, X4, X9A, and X9B. It should be noted that the mating Sub-D connectors are not part of the product package.

The S700 digital servo amplifier is fully programmable via the RS232 interface. The memory card in the device allows read and write access to parameter records and firmware. The site altitude of the unit is up to 1000 meters above the mean sea level without restriction. The device has a 3M1 as its vibration class according to IEC 60721-3-3 specifications. The product has a built-in fan covered with a protective grill for cooling.
