Product Description

The S7720A-EIF2-NA digital servo amplifier by Kollmorgen can be operated with or without a PC. This servo amplifier must be wired correctly for the reliable functioning of the servo system. This product related power and control cables should be routed at a distance of at least 200 mm from each other. The device triggers high-frequency interference if it is operated in residential areas without interference suppression measures. This unit must be wired and installed only after making sure that it is not in the live state. It is necessary to incorporate shielding for lines between the amplifier and filter or external brake resistor.

This amplifier has better noise immunity if an A quad B encoder is used when it is connected to a third-party stepper motor controller. The product is wired to the controller at the X1 SubD connector with a 5 V signal. This device can be set up for master-slave operation using the Electronic gearing screen of the DRIVEGUI.EXE software. The unit depicts an input resistance of 150 kiloOhms for its programmable differential inputs for analog setpoints. Its digital inputs can initiate the stored pre-programmed functions. This amplifier loses all torque and slows down to a stop when its STO inputs go open-circuit.

The product portrays floating digital outputs. The device also has a floating relay contact that is in the closed state when the amplifier is ready for operation. This unit supports MMC and SD memory cards. It also depicts autotuning and cogging suppression features. This servo amplifier comes with an optimized resolver interface and a nameplate on its housing for identification.
