The Kollmorgen S7720A-EIF2-F2 is a versatile digital servo amplifier in the S700 series. The device has an I/O extension card in its first slot and a controlled fan in the second and third slots. The product has autotuning and cogging suppression qualities. It has the fastest feedback evaluation. The unit supports fast setup. The rated voltage of the motor should be at least as high as the amplifier’s DC bus link voltage divided by 2. Commissioning the product is prohibited if the machine in which it is installed does not fulfill the requirements of the EC Machinery Directive, EMC Directive, or Low Voltage Directive.

If the S700 digital servo amplifier gets overheated, it will shut down automatically. So, sufficient airflow must be maintained within the control cabinet in which it is mounted. It should be noted that the user should not mount devices that produce magnetic fields close to the servo amplifier as these magnetic fields tend to be strong and can impact the internal components of the drive. The unit is generally meant for use in industrial environments. However, if it is used in commercial or residential areas, extra filter measures must be implemented. There is a Stop function to shut down the machine during normal operation.

The exposed contacts of the S700 digital servo amplifier must not be touched because it can lead to severe injury or even death. The cabinet door and all the covers must remain closed during operation. The device can be supplied from a three-phase earthed industrial supply network.
