The Kollmorgen S7720A-DNF2-PM is a digital servo amplifier in the S700 series designed to be operated with a compatible servomotor in an electrical plant or machine. The recommended tightening torque of the grounding bolt of the device is 3.5 Nm. The unit can directly control a 24V holding brake in the motor. It uses a special 24V supply voltage (X9B). The product can control brakes with up to 3A directly. The behavior of the device depends on the present setting of the different parameters. It should be noted that extremely high external fusing can endanger the cables and devices.

During the installation and commissioning processes, only properly qualified persons should touch the equipment. There is a high risk of electrical arcing when disconnecting connectors, as capacitors tend to have dangerous voltages for nearly eight minutes even after switching off the power supply.
