Product Description
The S7720A-DNF2-NA digital servo amplifier from Kollmorgen can be operated with a brushless synchronous servomotor with a closed loop control of torque, speed, and position control. This servo amplifier can also be connected to a third-party stepper motor controller. The product comes with integrated EMC filters that work only with an AC input. This device also incorporates a power supply that renders inrush current protection by limiting the input current during power up. The unit should be used with a motor featuring a rated voltage that is at least as high as the DC bus link voltage of the amplifier. It must not be used on ships and for offshore applications. This amplifier can control the holding brake of the connected motor.
The product must be handled by the user only after taking the necessary steps to discharge himself/herself. This device must always be placed on a conductive surface. The unit should be free of condensation all the time as this can result in its damage. It portrays a 2K3 class and a maximum relative humidity of 95% according to EN61800-2 and EN60721-3-1 specifications during its transportation. This amplifier must be decommissioned only after at least ten minutes of disconnecting it from the power supply.
The product disassembly is meant to be done by professional staff who are qualified in electrical engineering. This device has a voltage rise speed of 4 kV/µs at 3 x 400 VAC. The unit has two rotary switches in front of its DeviceNet expansion card to set the station address to a value starting from 00 to 63. Its transmission speed can be set in three ways. This servo amplifier has an EEPROM.
