The Kollmorgen S7720A-2CF2-S3 is a digital servo amplifier that is meant to be operated with a compatible servomotor in an electrical machine. The device must be safely grounded to the PE busbar in the switchgear cabinet. There is a high danger of electric shock. Low resistance earthing is crucial to ensuring personal protection. The product can directly control the motor’s 24 V holding brake. The amplifier can directly control brakes with up to 3 A. There are three slots for expansion cards on the device. The first slot contains the 2CAN expansion module, the second slot has the fan controller, and the third slot incorporates the safety card S1-2, SIL 3.

The leakage current of the S700 digital servo amplifier is more than 3.5 mA. The user should ensure that the ventilation of the device is unimpeded and that the permitted ambient temperature is observed. The required space should be kept clear above and below the unit.
