The S7480F-PNF2-S4 is a digital servo amplifier designed by well trained engineers of Kollmorgen according to international quality and safety standards. This servo amplifier is intended to be used for the accurate control of the speed, position and torque output of industrial servo motors, it can be used with synchronous, asynchronous, and induction motors. The servo amplifier meets the IP20 protection class, however before operation, it should be installed into an additional control cabinet that can provide it with additional protection according to the IP54 protection class. The S7480F-PNF2-S4 servo amplifier is delivered as a standard with a printed safety guide, shielding plate, shield clamps, mating connectors, and an online documentation and setup software installed on a CD-ROM. Additional accessories such as the motor cable, feedback cable, external brake resistor and mains choke are to be ordered separately by users when required. The S7480F-PNF2-S4 industrial servo drive is able to provide connected servo motor from overloading if the parameters are set correctly and the thermal protection sensor is connected and supervised. With Kollmorgen motors, the valid data are automatically set by the internal motor database, while for motors from other manufacturers the data from the nameplate must be entered to the referring fields through the setup software. The servo amplifier also supports the most common types of motor feedback designs. The rated supply voltage for the S7480F-PNF2-S4 servo amplifier falls between 208 to about 480 volts, also the servo amplifier requires a rated input power of about 35 kilovolts for continuous operation. The rated DC bus link voltage of the servo amplifier fall between 290 to about 675 volts. The S7480F-PNF2-S4 servo amplifier also has a maximum weight of about 13 kilograms.
